Vagina Monologues

Raising Awareness for Violence in Women and Young Girls

Many women and young girls are victims of violence whether it be marital abuse, rape, or other forms.

A play called The Vagina Monologues was created by a woman named Eve Ensler for female empowerment. There are usually three women who each tell their story where they each relate to some aspect of the life of a woman from sex, love, pregnancy, birth, and etc. to rape, abuse, and the like.

This has been seen around the world and is an annual event at San Jose State University that is organized in order to raise awareness and to fund anti-violence groups, as well as to educate peoplea bout violence against women and young girls around the word. It also helps empower women within our community.

Tickets for this event are $8.00 for students and $10.00 for general admission.
